When deputies arrived, the 4-year-old boy was not breathing and had no pulse. Now, the child is stable at the hospital.

TAMPA, Fla. — An emotional video captured the moment Hillsborough County deputies helped save a child’s life by performing CPR on the side of I-275.

HCSO responded just before 5:30 p.m. Friday to a call of an unresponsive child. They arrived to find that a 4-year-old boy was not breathing and had no pulse.

In the video, a deputy can be seen pulling the child out of a car, laying him down on the road, and beginning to perform CPR.

“He’s breathing! He’s breathing!” someone can be heard yelling.

The footage shows officials pulling things from the child’s mouth after performing multiple chest compressions.

“Come on, buddy, you got it!” a deputy can be heard saying.

Deputies continued performing CPR until Tampa Fire Rescue arrived and took over life-saving measures.

The boy was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he is listed as stable.Â
